Losing interest

Yes, it's true. Since I've hit 80, I don't have nearly as much interest or fun with the game as I used to. There are a few quests in Icecrown I've been doing, but to what point? Gold, I suppose. Though there isn't anything I really want to buy anymore. I have been considering the Brown Bear in Dalaran, but it's not that special, at least not for 675 gold.
I'm tired of the dailies. I have no desire to raid. Wintergrasp was a clusterf**k. I suck at jousting. The Random Dungeon Finder was fun for about two days... until I kept getting put in the same dungeon... And of the eight dungeons I've done, I've only gotten one purple and a slightly better green mace. I'm too undergeared for Heroics and doing the regular dungeons just doesn't seem rewarding.
I've tried doing the quest achievements for Northrend, but I get bored with them really quickly. Especially without getting XP anymore, it just doesn't seem worth it.
My guild of two, my boyfriend and I, has become the guild of one, as he left for a raiding guild. Which also kind of killed it for me. He's much more powerful than me, we WERE a good team, now he doesn't need me at all. (IMO)
I spent most of the weekend grinding for my Wintersaber and hit Revered on Sunday. I didn't get a new quest for it, so it's the same three quests, over and over and over and over again. I don't even want to do the math to figure out how many times I need to do the quests. I'm 750 of 21,000. Awesome. Reputation grind again.
So I'm going to put the game away until I start hearing about a release date for Cataclysm, then I'll pick it up again. Though, admittedly, I'll probably play during the holidays, but I just don't have the interest anymore.

It's a Sea Turtle! He moves at walking speed, but swims 60% faster. It's so darn cute!

I've been on a buying spree lately... tsk tsk. I'm such a poor 80.

And this is why I have no money: I got the Albino Drake for getting 50 mounts. It's so ugly. The next thing up is 100 mounts, you get the Blue Dragonhawk. But upon reading up on it, it seems rather unattainable unless you get exalted with all the mount-bearing factions, get trading card mounts, and the Wintersaber (which I still try for now and then. I think I'm Honored?)

And I got a Netherray, yay!

Finally got my netherdrake. Whoohoo! Working on getting my Netherray now. Then? I'm not sure what else to grind for. Maybe I'll see what rewards I can get out of the Northrend factions. Like a dragon. Though I only need to buy 12 more mounts to get the White Drake.

So I acquired this shiny new item called Boyfriend. This item starts a quest. I guess it's like daily quests that takes you forever to complete because the quest text isn't all that descriptive and Quest Helper can't help you this time. Says "Not touching that one, good luck." I find myself running, or usually sitting in random places throughout all of Azeroth contemplating how to complete and turn in this quest called "Relationship."
But that's besides the point. So I've hit 80. I'm invincible now, right? I guess. While flying through Nagrand, on my way back to Netherwing Island, I passed over Halaa. Horde was in control, so I could commandeer a flying bat and bomb the bajeezus out of the Horde Halaa Guards. Well, either I'm a bad bomber, or the quest is bugged. I get on my auto-bat and try to bomb, but get the red text "No path available" or something. But I did manage to launch off some bombs. I did my overly long flight around Halaa and bombed some Horde Halaa Guards. Then landed, mounted my own feathery steed and tried to bomb the guards on my own, but it wouldn't work. So I mouse over one guard, he's has like no health. I swoop down and decide: 'I can kill this dude. Might as well take out one guard.'
He's got 33% health. Should take me no time, right? One hit death, right? I start banging away on this guard. Do my usual routine. Flame Strike, Lava Burst (which is automatic critical strike), drop the totems. Well I'm barely making a dent on this level 65 non-elite Horde Halaa guard. Drop my ghost wolves, Feral Spirit or whatever it's called. Still I'm barely doing any damage. Granted, he's barely hurting me either. 40 seconds later the wolves are gone. I drop my fire elemental. *Raor* I'm so powerful. Rotating attacks between Storm Strike, Flame Strike, Lava burst, Earth Strike. Two minutes go by, Fire Elemental goes away. I've been doing some damage, but it's slow. Drop my Earth Elemental. Another two minutes, there goes the Earth Elemental. By this time, my wolves cooldown is up and I summon them again. Meanwhile, other Horde Halaa Guards and walking around me. Here I'm thinking that if one of them come at me, I'm doomed.
It takes through their whole life to just to get the guard down to 1% health. And just before I kill him, three guards become aware of my existence and run over and start wailing on me. I kill the guard, FINALLY, and say eff this. Switch into my ghost wolf form and take off. Running towards the bridge and picking another three guards. Now, they are barely doing any damage, but after one battle that took about 5-6 minutes, I'm not going to take on six. Sigh. Off I run, feeling the pathetic and knowing I won't be doing that anytime soon.
