Losing interest

Yes, it's true. Since I've hit 80, I don't have nearly as much interest or fun with the game as I used to. There are a few quests in Icecrown I've been doing, but to what point? Gold, I suppose. Though there isn't anything I really want to buy anymore. I have been considering the Brown Bear in Dalaran, but it's not that special, at least not for 675 gold.
I'm tired of the dailies. I have no desire to raid. Wintergrasp was a clusterf**k. I suck at jousting. The Random Dungeon Finder was fun for about two days... until I kept getting put in the same dungeon... And of the eight dungeons I've done, I've only gotten one purple and a slightly better green mace. I'm too undergeared for Heroics and doing the regular dungeons just doesn't seem rewarding.
I've tried doing the quest achievements for Northrend, but I get bored with them really quickly. Especially without getting XP anymore, it just doesn't seem worth it.
My guild of two, my boyfriend and I, has become the guild of one, as he left for a raiding guild. Which also kind of killed it for me. He's much more powerful than me, we WERE a good team, now he doesn't need me at all. (IMO)
I spent most of the weekend grinding for my Wintersaber and hit Revered on Sunday. I didn't get a new quest for it, so it's the same three quests, over and over and over and over again. I don't even want to do the math to figure out how many times I need to do the quests. I'm 750 of 21,000. Awesome. Reputation grind again.
So I'm going to put the game away until I start hearing about a release date for Cataclysm, then I'll pick it up again. Though, admittedly, I'll probably play during the holidays, but I just don't have the interest anymore.

Come grind with us! We got lvl 20 toons, level 60 toons, lvl 80 toons.
Toons, toons, and more toons! From the Noble Horde!
There are two basic points of view on what you are saying: 1) The game is over at lvl 80; and 2) The game begins at lvl 80. The problem is that you aren't that interested in most of the stuff that starts at 80. I actually like a lot of that stuff, so it doesn't bother me. I do get bored sometimes, but more that anything, it is the constant raiding that gets to be too much.
With respect to the dungeon finder, I am about as geared as you can get, and I still end up in HoS, UP, or OK. Only very rarely do I get something else. That just seems to be the way it works.
Sorry to see you go.

Oddly enough I really liked doing Trial of Champions. It's straight forward, you can see where all the guys are coming from, and no surprise attacks and bad tanks.
I played for about four hours yesterday, doing leatherworking and then questing with Nick.
Today I was considering starting a Paladin. We'll see how long that lasts.
I keep thinking to say I'm quitting WoW, but I know I'm not. I do love the game and I'm going to continue playing it, I'm just taking a break. Plus I've been getting bad headaches from too much eye strain of staring at computers all day, then coming home to stare at my computer, not so great.
